Hello, I'm Fear (They/Them). I'm a mid-core raider and have a Ph.D. in memeology. But most of all, I love RP! I do all kinds of posts, from short and sweet to long and detailed. I like to try to match my writers. Sometimes, depending on the situation and time, I post something too fast or super long.

The General Hooks
Owner of The Tipping Scales - Being the one-man show of a fight club has its ups and downs. Riven is always down to make a few new business associates or make merry by pouring drinks and patching wounds.
To Mend All Wounds - Being a caretaker has been one of his many specialties. The apothecary can use many means to mend your wounds. From traditional means with bandages to the magical with spells. Or are you in need of things to end another's life? It's up to you, so pray tell? How can the doctor help you today?
To Wander, To Roam - Even now, Riven has wanderlust occasionally. As he travels, he meets new adventurers, merchants, and anyone who can give him a good laugh. It temporarily cures his ever-aching heart to travel. Perhaps you'll be kind and funny enough to make him wheeze by the fireside.
Mystical Merchant - A man of many adventures has many things. Does something interest you? Perk your curiosities? What do you need? Perhaps Riven has something that could suit your fancy or your job.

The Soulstones
As the keeper of souls, a faithful recorder of history. Riven has collected a plethora of soul stones from the eras of past and present to keep the memory of the fallen alive through him... But each soul stone has its personality, its memories. Sometimes, it slips through, and Riven is not himself. Below is a short list of the personalities stored within. (WIP)
The Dancer - The Lover, a whimsical spirit full of fire and mischief. Never one to sit still, and lives in the moment.
The Bard - The Dreamer, often speaking in tune and making merry and memories despite being long forgotten.
The Machinist - The Gambler, a thrill seeker desperately searching for the next big shot.
The Monk - The Fighter, ever-seeking soul for conflict as combat always brings out the best and worst in all. Destruction of one's self can lead to perfection, chipping away the weakest flaws.
The Dragoon - The Justice, the Dragonsong War may be over. But this soul stone is still lost to the trials of war. To bring judgment and all to the spear-front of Halone.
The Reaper - The Gardener, a simple soul who took up to the voidsent to protect their home. But never was the same after such a deal.
The Samurai - The Drifter, seeking long-forgotten places in wartorn lands. While time has moved on, they are lost in the rifts of strife.
The Ninja - The Shadow, an assassin who was haunted by those he had taken. His end met with the hauntings of ghosts that plighted his mind.
The Paladin - The Knight, a young soul inspired by the Savior of the Star. A jovial, noble spirit whose duty ended too soon.
The Mystic Knight (Dark Knight) - The Unknown, a being shrouded in mystery and magicks. Speaks of wisdom beyond his years... perhaps this is the true spirit of Riven. (This is the main class Riven uses in RP)
The Warrior - The Berserker, Dalamud fell decades ago, yet this soul is haunted by the conflict. An unyielding rage that can't be quelled. A restless being yearning for the final trial.
The Gunbreaker - The Guardian, a stalwart soul searching for those in need of safety.
The Astrologian - The Gazer, they who look beyond the stars in hopes of grander things.
The White Mage - The Reluctant, a begrudging soul who has seen countless wounded and fallen.
The Scholar - The Lost, this jovial spirit was entranced by the pixies and other fae-like creatures. Taking on their mischievous nature, only to end up forever lost in the woods.
The Sage - The Doctor, a matter-of-fact soul, who used technology to aid those in need. Yet met a gruesome end on the frontlines of Garlemald. The chill still grips them.
The Summoner - The Teacher, a spirit who studied the Primals and aether. Dedicated to their work only to become a victim of tempering, ever haunted by the calls from beyond.
The Red Mage - The Daring, a soul full of wits and swordworks. Often talks in proud and selfish tones.
The Black Mage - The Hermit, a being lost to the unending flow of forbidden wisdom. Resolved to being far too absorbed in their research for power.

Powers & Abilities
Years upon years of research, training, and knowledge bestowed upon our dear keeper. Yet, for what cost to this unfortunate soul? This is a general list of talents and skills our dearest Riven has learned throughout the centuries. If there are any questions don't hesitate to reach out!
Crystallization - His blessing from the Mother Crystal is a fickle one. Given his years of tending to souls and aether; his limbs are slowly turning into crystal, he is slowly becoming a living, breathing aetheryte. A walking collection of aether and the potential memories stored within it. Those who are nearby him can hear the faintest hum, akin to attuning to an aetheryte, while his crystal limbs will change hue depending on the closest person to him, or the environment. Ex: travelling through Coerthas will cause his limbs to turn an icy blue due to the ice-aether there. Or if there is a fight nearby using fire-magicks his limbs will turn red.
Aethervision - In his older years, his vision has slowly begun to wither and fade; his crystallization hasn't helped in this regard either, giving them the appearance of quartz. Utilizing his own aether to focus in his eyes grants him the ability to see others via their aether.
Aether Weaving - Working with the aetherflow has proven to be a wonderful skill for this Viera. Often found weaving aether into various weapons, armors, and other trinkets to provide a boon to those deserving of it.
Crystal Specialist - Utilizing aether-infused crystals can be a boon in a pinch. Riven often carries these to help keep his crystal form functioning and to aid him in combat. Often, he is seen either placing them in weapons or draining them to produce spells.
Spell Singing - An ancient pastime, something that keeps Riven sane and steady in this world. When in combat, he is often heard humming a tune of a long-forgotten era that helps him channel his magicks. While also keeping him grounded from the souls and their memories within.
All-Rounder - Being almost three centuries old, and having a collection of soul stones within him has given him a wide range of insight and skills. Due to his adventures, his collection, and the memories he's made and kept. Riven is considered an "all-rounder".
Enchantments/Tinkering - His venue runs on the support of his mammets, all 1309 of them. Riven has grown quite handy in enchanting various things and tinkering with them.
Alchemy - He's dabbled in various trades and found that alchemy is one of his stronger suits. Combining ingredients to make potent spells or deadly poisons. Many of which he sells to his various business partners for good or bad intentions, that is up to the buyer.

I. A dull origin, a former warder of the Skatay Range, an ever-vigilant soul that guarded home and mountainside. Knowing nothing but howling winds, the biting cold is your companion for your watch, only to return to home and hearth to continue on a lineage. A Spartan’s life all depended on your resiliency and self-discipline. The only comforts were when you returned to the tribe, yet it was discovered that you were a stain on the tribe, a pox that could be easily cured with exile; thus, you were banished from your village due to an inability to produce young. There was no lineage to carry on, no comfort to return to, the stark watch remained… and so, you left your post. In hopes of finding something—grander.II. Indulgence, how it dulls the senses, makes you forget colder times. You no longer have duties to tend to or a watch to stand; you have sunk into pleasures. Forgetting all you once were, you spent most of your time lounging about brothels and dens that suited your fancy. Yet reminders of those icy winds linger in your chest; nothing gives you satisfaction; there is no contentment. But this life is simply hollow. So, you move on.III. You have taken on many names in your travels and met many, but one stayed beside you for far too long. A mentor, a guide; for the company, they teach you many things about the Star. Your teacher speaks of the aether, a history beyond their own, The Mother Crystal. These are things you don't understand but need to follow and accept. Eventually, they give you a name, something that was simple and rolled off their tongue."Riven," they explained the origin--to tear down, split, and break. An interesting choice. You accepted it with a hum; who knew it would last for centuries.IV. Your journeys continued, and tests went on. The Mist terrified but allured you one and the same; they helped you build resistance over the years. Souls are ferried back to the lifestream; memories are recorded and kept."It is for the sake of the Star we must know all. To feel each emotion, listen to each soul, and understand."A warder for the Star. The mantle is eventually turned over, and your blessing is a damning one. Your flesh is turned to crystal, a slow process that widdles away at your form. Like a snake, you shed your skin; it flakes away with every wound; it starts at your fingertips and toes before crawling up your body like an ivy or a disease. A fever in your body that never leaves, but you adjust. Your duties remain, this watch must continue, and once again, you are alone.V. Over the years, you've learned to mask yourself with armor and glamour. These disguises aren't perfect, but they will do for your needs. You aimlessly wandered and roamed. You've spectated the joys and miseries of the Star; you ferried souls to the lifestream; you preserved the flow; you recorded, and you learned. You wept, mourned, and lingered in resentment that wasn't your own for a bit longer than you were instructed to do.VI. Battles honed your vessel, crystal grew, and the feeling less foreboding. Frankly, you hated it, and still do. You've spent some of your time in war and strife in retaliation against all you've learned and against the Star's will. You forsake your work and what you've become, yet you remain. You've become a 'grandfather' to some, a 'brother' to others, a 'dear friend' or 'mentor' to many, and a loving 'husband' to one. An 'enemy' to ghosts from pasts few wish to recall.
